Hello from Estonia!

First of all - we are very happy to be involved in such a great project!

Our students have already solved some of the problems. We've had lots of fun!
Now, I'd very much like to post photographs of students' notebooks as answers to this blog but it seems that it isn't possible to post any images as
a comment.
I think pictures from notebooks would make this project even more lively, and it would be very interesting to see how kids from different countries find answers and what the layout looks like.
Can we do anything about it? Of course, several kids work on the same problem, but only the best looking/right solution would be published here. Being published would be
as a prize for kids and I'm sure it'd motivate students to work harder.

Anyway, I'll post our best solution to the fox-bear-fish-problem here.
The author is Silver, Year 1.

All the best!

    Hi Pille,
I completely agree with you, but we can use picasa albuns or skydrive to share the notebooks' photos and post them on the blog. It's easy and I think we can manage something.
Let's think about it! I'm leaving to Washington this saturday to the Microsoft Partners in Learning Global Forum to represent Europe and Portugal at the Innovative Teachers Worldwide Competition and I'm a little bit busy, but after my return we can discuss your excelent idea.
    Best wishes,
    Rui

  2. I also agree. I would suggest another thing, if you don't mind Rui.
We can use labels with our countries or schools so it can be visible on the side how many uploads each school made. I also deem as important and stimulating for pupils to receive comments for their uploaded problems, so, we should prompt them to comment on others and thus, receive comments regarding the answer and the feelings on each task, if possible. And if they cannot, we can discuss in class and do it for them.
