This is a blog created to the Etwinning Project Fun and Math. A project directed to mathematics, focused on funny and stimulating activities for children, enabling them to gain some interest and pleasure for this subject, but also explore their logical-mathematical thinking abilities and skills. Studying the Forest
From this story we wrote in the classroom together, we produced a video with our drawings and from that, we decided to study some data related with fires in Portugal and Lisbon since 1980. As an Eco-School, we are always concerned with environment, so we used our Math skills and the fact that we are working tables and charts in the classroom to study a little bit about this problem we face every year in our country. Take a look at our study and think that you can use math in all the subjects you want. In this activity we worked Sciences, Environmental Education, Portuguese, English, ICT, Drawing, and of course Math.
Now we can show you the table and charts we made, from the data collected:
Next week we'll post some conclusions about this activity.
